An anonymous do-gooder has shared with me his recent digital captures of several pristine-sounding soundboard cassettes. In the coming days, I will be ready to share MP3s of some of the material and would ask that anybody here who thinks they can help identify dates, venues and any other pertinent information send me a PM with their email address so I can send them a Dropbox link to those shared files. Once I get as much information as I can about each show (and a few of these are just partial shows), I will share them in lossless form at dimeadozen.org.

Here’s one that I already posted, which is a very nice upgrade to a previously circulated show:

I’m ready with another show (Matt Wilson and Planetmaker) that almost certainly took place in the Chicago area but for which I have no other information. I have a transfer from what seems to be a 1st-generation soundboard cassette. Anybody who PMs me with their email address will receive a Dropbox link to MP3s, and once I have picked all of your brains as much as possible, I’ll unleash the lossless, CD-quality version on DIME.

Matt Wilson and Planetmaker

Setlist:

Call Me Up
Queen of Tomorrow
Raking Service
Susannah
Hello Caller
Descender
National Angel
Barmaid
Lost in Your Mansion
Drummer Like Me [cuts]
Minnetonka Lady
Blue Electra
Landing
Get Together [really wild cover]

p.s. Our benefactor tells me that the above Planetmaker show occurred Dec. 11, 1993, at Shank Hall in Milwaukee. I’ll put it on DIME tonight.

Sorry about that. It’s been reposted, and if you saved the file set from the original seed, it should be possible to pick up where you left off. Here’s the new torrent:

Those of you who requested access to my shared Dropbox folder: In case you haven’t seen it, there is a new set of MP3s in there of another great soundboard Trip Shakespeare gig from most likely an early 90s Chicago show. I’m hoping some of you can help identify the gig (date, venue, whatever else you can come up with). This may allow me to put it together with some separate, smaller pieces of gigs I also have from soundboards, so I can post another complete high-quality show to DIME. (In any case, I’ll post it in CD quality to DIME sometime soon even if I can’t fill in all of the missing info.)

Thanks for the continuing help, and anybody who doesn’t have access to the folder yet, just shoot me a PM with your email address and I’ll extend permissions to you. Happy holidays, everybody.

Several great-sounding Trip Shakespeare shows have recently been dug up and transferred from original soundboard cassettes recorded by Tool.Master37, who graciously shared them with me. This set represents Tool.Master37’s personal “best of” anthology. If anybody can help identify the individual shows represented by these tracks, please let me know so that I can include that information for future listeners.

Anybody who is interested in the CD-quality 4-volume anthology put together by Tool.Master37, who possesses a ton of great quality soundboard master tapes, should PM me with their email address and I will respond by sending you a Dropbox link for direct download.

Enjoy!
