My BW&B faves:
“Four young weasels did the work of two” and some days, in particular: “I’m alive every minute I’m away from you”
I’m still partial to lines from the original, rocking classic. They still make me laugh as I recall the yard work of my youth.
I was walking by the window with a spinning blade. I was staring at the lady making lemonade. Walking by the window I was barely dressed. I was hoping she would ask me in to be her guest.
But I totally grew to love the BW&B “corrupt” version (or whatever it was called).
Sir, if it’s all the same to you. If it would be alright for now. Can you let me cry.
Actually, this thread is a bit tortuous, it probably would have been WAY simpler to quote any Matt lyrics that I DON’T like

My BW&B faves:
“She is kind and she is cold.”
Boy, what I wouldn’t give to hear “Travel Plans” live…
Actually, that is a truly great lyric. I love the intro lines as well.
This look is new. She stands there different to. She doesn’t want to come inside. She’s got a long, long ride. She waves her hands; explains her travel plans. I can only hear the rain. The slowly rising plane…
And how could I forget the beautiful simplicity of ‘Hello Caller’. What an amazing ending to an album. It would have been nice to have a Forum back then to gush happiness over the sounds of BW&B.
Then like a dream, the little speaker said, “I just know you’re lying there, in your bed”
I’m so sorry and so far from home. Be true and leave your name upon my phone.
Hello Caller. I’m away from home. Be true and leave your name upon my phone…
