The 1rst person narrative by the pike fish is engaging. The pike fish is introduced by telling you hes watching a bird, since he doesn’t want to be eaten by him. And since he’s watching the bird, he sees the gull, who sees the pair “meet there when they please”.
I took another listen because I didn’t remember a gull. I think the word you’re hearing is “goes” and it is no more than a menage a trois. (smile) It is heavy, though: “Oh, northern, is your eye so bright, you can see a home breaking on the shore tonight.”
The next song, “The Swing,” is my all-time second favorite because of the music and the three-way singing. No idea what the lyrics are about, though. “Ring now, ding dang, bells of the world.”
